Old and busted Mosins

I'm wondering if anyone hanging around here happens to have a line in with a distributor or person that has one or two Mosins floating around that have been better days so I can build a hunting rig; Boyd's stock, scope rail and such.

Specifically, I'm wanting something that has a good bore but is in need of some counterboring, and with wood that has some cracks or outright breaks. Also; has to not be particularly historical. If it is a rare Finn- or Yankee-built, I'm not really wanting it seeing as I am intending to lop off about two inches from the end of the barrel and give it a target crown. Doing that kind of metal work to a valuable old Mosin would break my heart, and would probably start one or two members on here foaming at the mouth.

So yeah; any lines on old common Mosins with busted stocks and in need of counterboring? On the cheap, mind - if I can get a good-quality shooter from Westrifle for cheaper, I'm not going to be interested in the beater.

You can also get a barreled action from TradeEx for something like $30. Not sure if it includes bolt and trigger, but a bolt is cheap, and you'll probably want to change the trigger anyways.

Yes, I'm aware, but your guns are also a bit too nice for chopping up. I was wanting a beater that need some work. Nice idea with that barrel action though - I might grab one or two of those to fiddle with later.

As it stands, I picked up a good deal on one that is needing some work on the bore. Comes with a bent bolt, too.

BTW, if you do get one you don't want to chop up, and want a bent bolt, I picked up a bolt body from Tradex for about $15, and a bent bolt handle for even less. Installs in minutes, and you get to keep the original.
 
No worries. I just want to let you know that you can buy a whole rifle and spend less on parts.
