I have an older AYA SxS, I don't think its an antique or anything. It has a few issues, and I am not too sure what to do with it.
It has a dent in one barrel that is visible from the inside about maybe 4 inches from the end. It also has some pitting down the first 4 inches(From the chamber side) of the same barrel. I still locks up nice and tight. Also the stock has a crack in it that was repaired.
Most of the metal pieces have some small ammounts of surface rust here and there, likely some minor pitting.
Now I would presume this thing has no more value left in it in its current state so what I was thinking was just cutting it right down to minimal non restricted lengths. I measure out if I cut the barrels down to 18.5inches and cut the stock down to where the pistol grip woul round over the oal would be about 27".
The I figure strip whats left of the would, stain it walknut or something, and sand the surface rust off with some steel wool or something and re blue it. it'll make an interesting shorty.
I know it will shoot like crap as the angle will be all off but as it sit I am not going to shoot it anyway.
All of the serial numbers match on it if that means anything...
I guess I am just looing for some options on what I could do with this thing?
