Curious to find what value a WW2 era Belgium made FN Browning high power, which has German Army markings on it would get. All serial numbers match. The overall condition is good to fair.

There are probably four categories of Browning HPs. Pre-war Belgian, wartime Inglis, wartime Belgian (under German occupation) and several variations of postwar. Take you pick. But some shooters will discount the German-marked guns out of self-preservation worries about sabotaged steel and construction. No real way to know if their fears are true, but I'm not going risk my face behind one.

Worth of BHP....

Post some pics & we'll go from there.... :D

NAA.

I see you figured it out, I was just in the process of posting the pics you sent me :)
Looks to be a nice, original german High Power (is the front blade missing?).
Couple more things to clarify though - what is the WaA number (can't make it out in the pic), and does the serial # contain a "a", "b" or perhaps, no suffix?

Wasn't there one of these for sale on the EE a few weeks ago? If I remember correctly, the asking price was considerably lower than the Canadian made war time Inglis pistols.

What I've heard about the pistols made in Belgium for Germany during the was is that they did not have the usual high level of fit and finish that other Hi-Powers had. And there are the stories about intentional sabotage of the guns by factory workers. I have no idea if those stories have any basis in fact.
