Silver die is a regular size die. The little black ones are much smaller diameter. I guess is for a long discontinued press? Maybe some of you old farts recognize these :p

They are for either a Lyman 310 tool - a plier type tool, or a Tru-Line Junior press. This was a fairly lightweight turret press. Many of the rifle caliber dies only neck sized.

If they don't have the caliber they are made for stamped on them they will have numbers. If you let me know what the numbers are, and I can find my old list, I may be able to tell you what cartridge they are for.

I just threw out 3 or 4 dies that look like that. A guy at work gave me a box of old stuff he found in an out building on the property he bought. They didn't look to be in as good of shape as those ones though...pretty rusty. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I took them...unfortunately, I already have a ton of stuff that I will never use and don't know what to do with. LOL.

Time to start renting tables at gun shows and move some of the "treasures" you are hoarding.

It's amazing how much "stuff" a person can accumulate.

I discovered that the adapter that Tiriaq mentioned is the same as the adapter that came with my Lyman powder meter, so I ordered a couple of them. Use them to mount a nice 310 - 3030 neck sizing die and same for my 303.
