I have a Liege Belgian Six-shot Double Action Percussion Pepperbox Revolver with etched twist turn-off barrels numbered from 1 to 6, scroll engraved action, under-hammer, ring trigger, and broken cracked stained Ivory grips, Liège proof on the cylinder with E & LG below in an oval. I can't find barrels nr 2,3,4 for it. It is very rusty inside. The spring for the butt cap has rusted away. I soaked the barrels & frame in vinegar and used 000 steel wool to get as much rust off as possible (for me). I used super glue on the broken grip but the cracks are wide & quite visible. I was wondering if it would be of value to a collector as is. I have the means to nickel-plate it or blue it. I'm aware that it's a no-no to do anything more than gently remove rust to old guns. This one did not appear to have any kind of finish left on it. Thoughts?
