Old cooey scope mounting

skaal tel what range did u sight in the scope for?? was it difficult to do.. Im planning to sight mine in at 30 yards with cci cb rounds, not the most accurate round from what i have read but well see what happens i guess. Gun will be a pest control gun

I read through this entire article. I am in the process of restoring my 60 Repeater, finished everything and now waiting for the stock to come back form the finisher and will put it back together.
I have the scope mounts and scope waiting to be put on after that. I picked mine up at P and D. I'm incredibly excited to finish mine now. I was before but now I'm even more enthusiastic.

wow what a buzz kill guys today my mount base and side rings come in.. As i open the side ring package from cabelas canada i notice they sent the wrong one. I ordered the short high mount and they sent the short long mount, what a bunch of dummies.. Anyways the high long mount did not work it sets the scope way to far forward.. I sent it back today now the waiting game begins.

HOW HANDY ARE YOU? DO YOU HAVE A HANDY FRIEND? DO YOU HAVE A JUNKYARD DOG MACHINE SHOP NEARBY?

Get out hacksaw, cut off rings.

Get out files (rough basterd and smooth)

file saw cut surfaces even with anodized surface.

get a weaver base with a flat bottom.

drill and tap for flat weaver rail.

get new rings.

do the happy dance.

Of course, if you don't want to #### around with what I mentioned, return the :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: order to the gormless people at SIR and get the proper stuff sent out by Epps, as previously mentioned.

hey Niceguy. I started off at 25 meters. I was 6" high and 8" right. It took some math but at 16 clicks an inch... anyway it worked out just fine. I haven't been back to extend the range of the zero but I'm sure it will be no problem.

I was shooting cheap winchester 333 http://www.basspro.com/Winchester-333-Value-Pack/product/10220939/

Anyone ever tried one of these?
The curvature is probably pretty close.

You'd have to drill 4 new holes of course. Too bad they don't have it with the N2 hole spacing for factory drilled Cooeys (and many other older .22's)

Wondering if it might sit too low on a Cooey 60 with the vertical ejection?

Numrich carries the mount in the previous post. It's under part number

881320A

$38.95 US plus all of the fees etc Numrich adds on.

Plus which you have to drill the correct holes.

Sigh.

Weaver 7/8", 4x scope. Do it up like it came out of the box. You can get the scope and mount for < $50 at any decent sized gun show.

The thing is, I have a couple of 1" Weaver K scopes just waiting for a home. I'd really like to move up to the 1" scope world.

The Weaver Base # 2 and 1" short side mount option is there, I know that.

But not completely crazy about the look of it.

And a couple of people have said that it actually projects over past the centreline of the rifle and overhangs the bolt a bit. Ejecting rounds hit the scope and fall back into the action.

If that's the case then maybe the N2 and 3/4" scope would actually be preferable.

Picked up a 7/8" scope with mount in a second hand / consignment store in upper New York state several years ago for $5.00 it's 3-6 variable with no name that I can find used it on my model 60 that is at least 50 years old to humiliate a fellow club member with a very expensive target rifle during our fun 50yrd turkey shoots, never lost shooting that rifle with it's favorite ammo
