Old Glocks, do they exist?

Why stop at a flashlight? The polymer Glock frame *should* be able to support approx. 200 lbs of extra load before breaking point... just make sure you get the new super-extended rails.

Another fine example of going 'tactical':

LOL. Dude, that's some funny s**t right there.

Do you always feel so superior, or is it a special occasion?

Edit: And for that matter, why the hell do civi's feel the use for a handgun, anyway?

If by superior you mean I don't :jerkit: while holding my accessory laden tacticool machine of mayhem hoping that I am actually cool then, YES.

"feel"? Did you mean 'need the use of a handgun,'? I thought we all need the use of a handgun to go to the range and shoot targets to hone our skills of marksmanship. And while at home they are locked up securely to meet storage regulations. I could be wrong though.

I live in the country with an extended police response time. So I have a longarm around for special occasions. You know I'm gonna run right out and buy a pressure switch activated flashlight and attach it to said longarm. You guys are awesome! Thanks!

i am still laughing at the noobs that have dared to challenge TDC. He is the end all be all of tacticool afterall.

Tango Delta Charley is a well read individual when it comes to firearms and tactics. I knew there had to be someone that drifts through the 7/11 and buys those magazines with stuff like SWAT on the cover. I'm done.

I have owned two first generation Glock 17's...i thought they were really neat because they were "the one that started it all..."

I prefer the feel of first and second generation Glocks to more recent versions too.

You guys are awesome! Thanks!

Not half as awesome as you.

Your reaction to the fact that guys might want to put a light on their pistol is really something else. Why should you give a #### what others want to do or what they chose to use their pistols for?

Since you keep a "longarm around for special occasions", how is that any different than someone who keeps a pistol within easy access? Since you don't have a light on your home-defense longarm, how did you intend to identify your targets? Ask them to hold still and stand under the porch light?

If they are under the porch light they must still be outside my door and by definition not a threat. So at that point I don't even need a firearm. For you handgun for home defence guys who insist in posting food for the anti's here please publically state here once that your defensive handguns are legally stored. The image that the anti's get reading your ninja rants only hurts legitimate gun owners by making them imagine you all sleep with pistols laying beside your pillows. In reality I could care less how many useless gadgets you put on a safe queen. It's your money but please quit painting us with your antipersonnel fantasies.

And now to get back on topic about Gen 1 Glocks.....

My turn...

Jason,
Regardless if SWAT/ERT etc run a light on their pistols, they still run one on their rifles. Are you saying that bad guys won't shoot at rifle mounted lights as much as pistol mounted lights??

As for the photo of the soldier with the pistol. Your concern with the selector on his rifle is a non issue. If he indeed transistioned it is because the rifle failed to fire, if that is the case then the hammer is forward and there is zero risk for negligent discharge. Of course I'm sure you knew that.

Aside from the personal or home defense reasons for both owning a handgun and one with a light. There are also those who participate in disciplines that offer low light events or seek professional training of the same nature. On a less practical side, an attached light for the "tacticool" factor also aids in muzzle control providing for faster follow up shots. For the guy who seeks every advantage he can get in the competitive arena, a mounted light is a sneaky option.

With regards to feeding the antis, your rhetoric is pure BS. Owning of any firearm makes you a hated individual in their eyes. What you do with it is irrelevant. Either way, I'm not going to hide what I do or why I do it to please some uneducated hoplophobic loud mouth, and neither should any other firearms owner.

Two 12(6) gen 2 g-19's here, one has 57K+ rounds through it (mostly lead), and a 12(6) gen 2 G-23 with only about 2k through it. I wouldn't trade them for gen 3 guns (or newer) because the finger grooves suck. They are not positioned correctly for my hands.

Auggie D.

Tim Cox I hope you are writing down these nuggets of information dispensed by TDC. If you are ever going to ghost write his forthcoming book, "Advanced Tactics for Urban Warriors" you may have to rely on them. Do not trust your memory, the fortunes of future urban couch commandoes are at stake here.:adult:

Take Care

You should not be so fast to mock. TDC has more value in his posts than you do, Bob.

That's good advice there! I sure wonder what TIM D COX does for a living? We should have a poll set up somewhere. I'm going with Walmart security floor walker.
