Am new at this,so not sure if this is the introduction place. Have been looking around a bit and find a lot of interesting stuff. I'm 62 years of age. When I was 7 or 8 years old I started to help my dad on his trapline, so learned to respect guns real early. Have hunted most of my life and just enjoy the outdoors. In our gang I usually run the dogs. I love old guns. Steve the gunsmith in North Bay says he loves old guns and young woman. he was looking at my wife when he said it,so guess I must have both.anyways I have a few older guns and I think I'm going to enjoy reading some of the stories and who knows maybe make some friends. old hound

Well thank you for the message. I belong to the Beachburg Gun Club. They have a very nice range. Go there a few times a year to sight in the old hunting rifle. Every year seems a person sees different. I have an old Enfield rifle. No4 MK1 that has a magazine cutoff. They are not supposed to be on that model. Would you know anything about them. I have a daughter went to school in waterloo. Maybe some day you will move back to the valley. old hound

I couldn't stand not being able to look in the mirror while I shaved.
Now I can look myself in the eyes and not be ashamed.
 
Welcome old hound,
I'm a little new here aswell and it's a great site with great people.
I grew up just outside of Ottawa but have lived in New Brunswick for the past 27 yrs.
You'll enjoy the site and people,I'm sure;)
