Just got back from sighting in a Armsport Hawken 50 cal. that's about 30-35 years old.I think I'll stay with the first load I tried 490 R/B 15thou. cotton tick, and 70 gr of rifle pyrodex that's about as old as the rifle. Two groups of 5 shot at 50 yards first from the bench 1 3/4" by 2" second was offhand 2" by 3 1/2". Last two shots were at 100 yard 8" gong both solid hits. I think I'll keep this one.

There's one that I was in when I was into B/P back in the 70's, The Brant Muzzleloaders. They have a small range near Canning Ont.,on land owned by the Grand River Conservation. I'm just getting back into M/L and I'm enjoying it as much as ever.
