Old hunting ammo SSG?

I was shooting off some old paper shells I bought years ago at a show and two where maked SSG , I never hunted with paper shells.
What does SSG stand for?.

Special Small Game, same as #2 buck.

Buckshot. US equivalent is 00.

SSG represents size of shot. They also used to make SG. I'm pretty sure SSG = 000.

Edit - I stand corrected, SSG = 00 as tiriaq posted.

SSSG is 000 buck.
SSG is 00 buck
SG is 0 buck
Those shells likely have 9 balls in them.

SSG pellets are .27 inch. So #2 buck. AI got this one wrong!
