Old military ammo

I was poking through a box of stuff I bought a a yard sale and found some 303 british military rounds
Head stamp has K 18 Vll z
any body know where they were made etc

K is usually Kynoch, 18 would be 1918, VII is Mark VII ball, Z is nitrocellulose powder. A bit odd, Kynoch would usually be cordite loaded.
