OLD/NEW 870 compatibility

I'm wondering if a composite stock and for-end from a modern 870 express would fit on an older (corn cob) wingmaster?
Anybody know?

I have 3 older WM's and all 3 outfitted just fine with newer synthetic stocks & forends.

Yep it will fit. You can use a 1.25" spade drill bit with a crescent wrench to remove the forend. Careful though, wood is easily broken...sometimes good to soak the nut overnight with penetrating oil.
