Well, this is my father in-laws gun and it sat in a damp musty ####ty basement for over 15 years. Originally he bought it brand new, shot a few hundred ducks with it,and trem-clad camo'd it. Well I took possession of a few of his guns and I happened to sand all the old ass trem-clad off of this baby then sat it in the gun cabinet covered in gun grease so it did not rust.

I have been able to talk him into hunting again with me and he was going to go out and buy a brand new gun, 870 of course. I said that the QC on newer 870's is crap and said lets fix up this one and put some new hardware on her.

We got rid of the wood stocks, and for 40 bucks picked up some Norinco or Dom arms Syth stocks (not sure who makes them). For $270 picked up a brand new smooth bore Slug/ Turkey Barrel w/rifled choke. And $25 in paint!

Now my father-in law can go Deer, Turkey, and my favorite Duck hunting with me. And get to re-live what he has missed for 15 years.

Heres how she turned out.

All we did was sand it down with emory cloth, to get rid of the rust. Sprayed it with Brakleen and layed on the 3 layers of Krylon Camo flat paints. Go slow, ad be careful. Some spots on this gun turned out blotchy because of spraying to heavy at the stencil. My fault. But its camo so who cares.
