Hello everyone, I have an old Pacific reloading/swaging press, I have it setup for 38 special. Would like to find some dies in 243, any idea where...I’ve look but with no results .
Cheers

If It's the old Swage-a-matic ??, with an aluminum C frame, it probably couldn't do rifle bullets well.
I think it was meant for half jacket pistol bullets with soft lead.

Swaging rifle bullets has a steep learning curve and requires deep pockets.
I gave up on it in the eighties. I could get as good accuracy with cast bullets with a lot less effort.

I would echo what Slug said. I swage bullets for .224" with commercial jackets and .22 RF jackets in old Ted Smith dies that I bought form him nearly 50 years ago. The dies are installed on 3 RCBS Rock Chucker presses. Try as I might, I can't make a better bullet than I can buy. The best I can get in "minute of groundhog". I also swage pistol bullets in .38 & .44 cals. using .30M1 brass shortened to .760" for the 38 stuff and full length 40S&W brass for the .44 bullets. These work well in my revolvers and rifles. As someone said in a related previous post: You can't make a bullet at home that is better than Berger Bullets or cheaper than you can buy them. Unlike Slug, I still persist because I'm a stubborn SOB!!!
Good luck in your quest.

Hello all , sorry for the slow response! The press is a case iron , built on a slight angle. Pacific patent number, 1933940 The dies are standard thread reloading dies... Lee, Hornady...etc..
I can send pics if that helps... just pm me.
Cheers

Also could I use the 38 cal dies for 9mm? I do have a 9mm Lee bulge buster ,what do you think?.....work..not work, could also put them though a Lee 9mm sizing did set.
Anyone done it?
Also if your looking for 38 cal wad cutters.... I’m your guy! Lol

Brian:
The bullets dropping out of my dies (old C-H dies) are heavy (160 gr to 190 grs or so that I use in my lever gun) and .358-.359" They might make a pure lead bullet with no grease grooves that could be powder coated then sized .356" for the 9mm.
Send me a photo of your press here:

Share your email and I will send you photos of my set-up!
