Hi folks - I came across some older paper ammo (full and partial boxes, loose shells). Is there any market for this stuff or would you just dispose of it?

I don't collect shells but I like the boxes.
Recently I sold some antique rifle ammo, $40 for about 12 rounds. No Idea if I got hosed or got a good deal but it made space in my cabinet.

When you say "just dispose of it" I hope you mean shoot it.
There is nothing wrong with it to use. Or pass along to collectors.
You beat me to it, totally agree. There is a fair assortment of old paper hulled shotgun shells here, pop a few off for nostalgia purposes every now and then. Plus that whiff of old powder smoke just something to behold.

Ahhh, the smell of old gun powder and the smell of burnt wax coating on paper shells.
Reminds me of when I was a young lad searching for empty shot shells in the marsh off the West dyke in Richmond in October.
Those who know, know what I am talking about.

First thing I thought of when I seen this post was oh those old paper shells smell so good after you fired them off
I think Federal still makes paper shells too

Wow, that brings back memories. My Dad and I used to hunt ducks at the end of Williams Rd in the early 60s. I would imagine that is a big no no now.

Yup, had huge restrictions enplaced in the 80's and eventually cosed to discharge of firearms in the 90's.
Still is a beautiful view on a spring evening and all summer long
