A friend was asking about an old handgun he was made aware of. Apparently the owner moved away, and left the registered handgun with another person (who is an now an RPAL holder). This was quite a long time ago, before the current registration program was put in place. It's believed to be the old green registration card, but he hasn't confirmed this yet.
The owner would now like to sell the handgun, but is concerned about having neglected to update the registration.
Has anyone had any experience with updating an old registration like this? Is the owner in for some legal difficulties, or will they just update it if he calls the CFP?
I'm new to restricted firearms, so couldn't give much advice.
