Hey guys, I was hoping to get some help with an old Remington 870 Wingmaster. I have a friend who is looking to sell it to me, the only issue is we don't know what it's worth. I took a look at it and for one it needs a serious cleaning. It has some bluing left, although it has come off in some areas. Doesn't look to have any rust and the bore is good. Thanks for the help.

The wood looks good. It's 12g 2 3/4 with a full choke. The barrel doesn't have the vent rib. I haven't checked the mag tube inside yet. Going to take it apart and clean it tomorrow. The receiver has bunch of gunk and debris in it.

I think the above prices are about right... depends on what a guy wants to do with it. I personally would not be interested unless it was at least a 3" model. But if your not pass shooting big canada's you probably don't need the extra length.

Just bought an 870 wingmaster exactly as described for $250 yesterday. It is in mint shape Getting back into hunting after 15 years.

You still find the odd one for that price from sellers that don't know the market but it is not common any more. I payed $100 for most of mine but that was not yesterday
Cheers

Thats an exceptionally good price and not representative of its market value right now.

The last one I bought was about 10 years ago for $300 or $350. It was a skeet version (skeet barrel, upgraded wood) in MINT condition. That was a great price. At the same show old rust buckets were going for $400+
