I went to a family members house for some skeet shooting yesterday, and he pulled out this old semi auto 12 ga. He said it came in a lot of guns he bought from a widow of a friend, and had no interest in it, nor did he know what it was. He had never shot it, so we checked it over. It very clean, so we lubed it up and set off to try it out. The bluing is heavily worn from being carried and also appeared to be shot a lot. Custom wood work including some very nicely done initials.

We shot about 50 rounds through it, and it performed flawlessly. Afterwards he suggested I just take it home and use it for skeet shooting.

Today I decided to check the serial # and it came up as early 1906 production. I was quite surprised.

Just wanted to share it, as I'm sure it hadn't seen a shell or the light of day in many years.

The Browning Auto 5 is the best damn Semi-Auto shotgun money can buy. They can be had cheap and will last for all of your life, your kids lives and their kids lives. Use it and love it!

Amazing guns. Just make sure you have the bushings and spacers installed properly for the recoil mech on the mag tube. There's lots of info on checking it. If there ever is a problem it's usually the bushings or too much lube.
