Ok heres my gun. I'm hoping someone could give me an idea of what it is worth if I decide to get rid of it. According to info from this site it was manufactured in 1958 the first year of production. I got it from a buddy that had it stored for about 20 years and only shot it twice in that period. However during that time a tiny bit of pitting occurred right at the bottom of the barrel under the front of the scope.(hope the pics show it up ok) I have tried to clean up the area as best I can with some extra fine steel wool and alot of oil but I haven't done any bluing touch-ups on the spots yet. I hunted with the rifle last year and tagged out with it. It shoots very nice, and I just recently refinished the stock other than that it is original as far as I know or can see. As I said aside from The little pitting the gun is in very nice shape. It has leupold rings and base and has an older 3-9x32 tasco scope that will go with it. So any thoughts on what I should ask when the time comes?
hopefully these pics work ok...

$350? I'd guess closer to $300.

We know about the pitting but it's been cut for a recoil pad which is not factory and it looks to me like someones put a layer of varnish or something on it that wasn't factory either.

Put it in the EE and see what it brings. This isn't it, locked.
