old savage sporter 25 20 value

my older uncle has an older savage sporter in 25 20 cal long barrel with snobel forend it has a clip and is a bolt action i would say it is in avarage condiotion with good patena what woudl be a fair price for said gun i am guessing it would be 50 years old or a bit better thanks DUTCH

That would be a Savage 23b, I believe, and would go for between 2 and 3 hundred dollars, depending on condition.

$250 to $300 at most, I had one and sold it for parts as the mag was missing! Bad part about these guns is that the barrel is part of the action ,so cannot be rebarreled only sleeved wich most of these need, cheers dale Z
