Old School Benelli M2 with wood

Gorgeous wood! Well done! How's the weight compare to the synthetic stock, heavier or lighter?

Wow that is gorgeous. I love wooden semis with shorter barrels. Would love to see an m4 with similar furniture

I bought the barrel from Stoeger, Its a 18.5 inch with rifle sights, uses all the chokes from the 26 inch field barrel it came with

Hi

Great shotgun, how long ago did you buy the barrel?

A few years ago I wanted to make a M2 field/camp shotgun were I would just have a standard 28" barrel to use at sports clay and then get a 2nd 18" barrel to use when out camping. I contacted Stoegar and they stated that was not possible as the 18" barrel only came with the m2 tactical and had the ghost ring front sights and if I had an m2 tactical with a 18" barrel couldn't buy a 28" for it and also the ghost ring rear sight on the m2 would have been a problem.

Is the 18.5" barrel you have with rifle sights for the 3+1 action like the field models I believe they do the 5+1 for the m2 tactical models

Thanks
Del

Hi Del, I bought it about 1 and a half years ago from stoeger in Canada, rifle sights, with chokes and 18.5 inch, fit perfect on the field gun, so Im in the same boat as you wanting a quick handling short barrel for around home and the cabin, my field barrel is 26 inches. I put the S&J extension on it so now it holds 6 2 3/4 inchers or 5 three inchers, plus one 2 3/4 in the pipe and it will ghost load as well

Thats a great question and the answer is yes, there is a small plastic adaptor that fits inside the stock and helps with stock adjusters as well as holds it on, stoeger didnt tell me i needed it, I ended up making a wood one which worked perfectly until the stoeger plastic one showed up

Beautiful m2 with wood!
I made a walnut stock set for my M1 a couple years ago. It took a ton of time and work because of how intricate the inlet of the stock and especially the forend are. But it turned out pretty nice.

In anticipation of Blatts M1, here's my old 121 and M1 with factory wood to compare with
