If your doing a retro build you can use this as a reference. The serial number takes it back to 1965 or 66. The camo duct take was not my doing, that was from the Quebec Police force it came from. Good luck with your build.

I'm going to build a retro 15/16 with the irg parts kit. Hopefully they are in decent shape. I have a spare furniture set just in case though. as well as an m3 bipod and case, just to keep this on topic!

After zooming in on the stock it is an early M16 butt stock with rubber butt pad . You can tell by the rear sling swivel .
The gun is not an M16 though as there is no auto seal pin .
Looks like a SP1 with early surplus stock & flash hider replacing original AR parts
