Old School Skeet Gun

I imported this up from the US through Prophet River (Thanks Clay and Melissa).

Remington 3200 Competition skeet gun. Briley thin wall choke tubes and Briley sub gauge inserts for 20, 28 and 410. I was a little worried that the 26" barrels might be short, but they seem to swing fine in the house. Can't wait until I can try it out next week!

Come on down to the Winnipeg Trap & Skeet club and give it a workout. I have a 12, a 20 and a .410(but no 28.) Superposed skeet guns, we can try each others out ??? Lol!

LOL MauserMike. I suppose you could say its a Kreighoff with Remington quality built in.

Planemaker, I plan to be there this Tuesday. I would have been there this week, but I'm sick with a flu bug.

The scary part of this purchase is discovering how relatively cheap and easy it is to import shotguns from the US. The fee from Prophet River is $195 IIRC and he usually takes less than a month to get it to his shop.

There are a lot of great twin pipers for sale down in the US, before 911, I used to go to Grand Forks gun shows and bring back the odd one. My 12 gauge Superposed came from there. did you buy thru GunBroker or other site ?

If you make it to the WTSC on Tuesday, ask for Tim and I'll be happy to shoot some skeet with you. Probably find me shooting 5-stand.

FYI,
The Remington 3200 has no lineage in common with the Kreighoff 32/K80. The Remington model 32 is what the Kreighoff evolved from and still has some interchangability.
The 3200 does have similar looks with the sliding top hood lockup, but is a totally different animal.

Has your 3200 had the updates done ? Look for 2 sockethead bolts in the breechface and there s/b a dot added to the serial number if I remember correctly.

Very nice!! great $ value if it was made after 76or if serial number above 30,000 it would not need updates. The competition versions either trap or skeet are beautiful guns. competion skeet 26'' bbl made 76-81 after that 28'' bbl.
