Old School "Tactical" 870s

Here's a few pics of one of mine. An older model 870 Magnum, not an express. I don't like all that fancy tactical crap either

Where did you pick up the LEATHER shot shell holder? I can only find the nylon and or spandex crap!

It's a Galco buttcuff. Ordered it from the States from I think a place called Optics Planet. You can get them from a few different sites, Brownells had them as well I think.

Bubba'd non magnum Wingmaster that I got with out a barrel and holes in the receiver. Had to replace the lifter spring, and mend the buttpad with shoe goo. The Dlask barrels are heavy but accurate, and they like Remington foster slugs. - When punching paper, with the Remington slugs it looks like you are shooting little gears at the target. :D

Just found this thread~I'm keen to add a "real" riot/police shotgun to my collection..certainly some nice-looking specimens in this thread. I saw this gun listed in the EE a while back and when it sold...well...hard to describe the sense of loss.

It looked minty in fact, I think it was if memory served. I've never shot one of those steel folding stocks. Can't imagine it would feel too good, but I was lusting over it big time and I stare at the photo frequently. Is that wrong? :)

ARRRggghhh!! I saw that one night and sent the guy a note saying I wanted it... But it had already sold...

I drank beer and cried after that............ :bangHead:

do you guys know of a source for mag tube extensions that aren't made of aluminium? I would like to hold more in my wingmaster (2 3/4) 20", but would also like to match the barrel and anodized aluminium just doesn't cut it.....need blued steel :D

Sorry can help you. I believe there is a factory extension just like that. I had one once. Sold it on the EE ages ago. Can't for the life of me remember where I got it originally... If I figure out a source I'll advise.

I've never seen one in aluminum - they're either blued or matte finished steel. I have a blued one on my 20" rifle sighted Wingmaster and a matte one on my 21" VR Express and both match pretty much perfectly. The I rd extension on my 14" is from Wilson/SGT and the other two are Choate via Brownell's...

blake

Got my blued factory extensions from gravel.

HAHHA I BOUGHT THAT!! It fell off the boat though, coverd in rust now, its deactivated and now in a friends PAL course. WINNING, Just kidding haha. Any who, I remember that bad boy! I looked at it quite often! Funny how we can remember a picture of what a year ago atleast?

This is my 1974 870 Wingmaster. It has a 20" Rem Choke barrel, and a Choate +3 magazine extension.

I think a Winchester Model 12 might make a neat "retro tactical" project. Chop the barrel to 20" and have the Vang Comp internal modifications done to the barrel without the ports. The magazine already holds six rounds as-is.

Anyone know what the LE wood forestocks from Brownell's look like? There is no pic on thier site.

...or a place in Canada to find a LE type wood stock set?

I too am wondering where the hell all you guys are picking your wood up from??

I want an exact copy as some of the pics here but have had no luck searching stores for em anyhwhere
