I recently got a old command post scopechief. The glass seemed nice for a old scope and very bright considering it had a 20mm tube. Getting it made me find another one to buy.

The question is for the 4x12x40 a.o. scopechief 6 i just got. What is the purpose of the dual horizontal crosshair's. Does anyone have a chart for the bdc dial's (I think there was 4 different one's)

There is also a small mil style dot between the 2 crosshair's, what would it's purpose be?

Thanks for any help or old scan's or pics of the chart's/info you may have.

here's the pic for future reference in case the add disappears

I've used Bushnell Scopechiefs since they first came on the market, and obviously liked them. Rugged, reliable, good optics, and never had one let me down on a hunting trip. But they're all getting old now, and Bushnell doesn't stock parts any more and won't repair them under the old guarantee. ***They won't even re seal one that has leaked and fogged internally because they say they don't have the proper "O" rings in stock. No erector tubes, no adjustment covers, no nothing.
The best they will do for you is offer a new and inferior scope at a maybe small saving.
There are a very few independents that mysteriously seem to be able to make some repairs, but at up to $60.00 per hour it usually doesn't pay to go that route.

I've had 4 come back unrepaired in the last few years. One Scopechief 3-9, One Scopechief IV 1.5-4.5, and two Scopechief VI 3-9s.
