Trying to figure out the history of this old gal.
Info given to me is it's a Pachmarr 755, but it looks like a
Savage 755A.
It is a 12 gauge and this is the only photo sent to me.
The barrel is just shy of 29 inches.
What would be a buying and selling price for this old odd gal?
It is suppose to be a shooter with no issues, other than the looks of her.
Only photo I have, this is it.
It is not in my possession yet, so I'm not trying to solicit any buyers on this
thread I have started and I'd prefer not to have this thread locked.
What can you tell me/us about her?

It is a Savage through and through. It does sport a Pachmayr recoil pad and is probably what was used to mis- identify the old girl. Savage sold the gun as a "Streamlined" auto using the Browning long recoil system. (you know Auto 5's so this gun will be no puzzle) Good solid guns but somewhat heavy. There was an aluminum frame version known as the 775. I had the all steel one in 16 gauge and I wish I could find another. They are just real nice old guns. Remington model 11 barrels will interchange. Value is not high but most with good condition wood (no cracks) will fetch 250.00

The Savage 755A used the Browning long recoil system for a base. The rear stock set up and the rounded receiver were all Savage. There is no mag cut off or speed feed feature of the Auto 5. The recoil system is essentially the same with the setting of the friction rings for heavy and light loads. All were 2 3/4" chambered. I am not aware of any with a vent rib BUT a Remington model 11 solid rib barrel will work. The Savage actually handles very nicely with the plain barrel. Like the A5 with proper care they will not be worn out....

The model with the aluminum frame can develop a serious crack into the receiver. I don't know that the steel models had that problem.
