I have this old box of Imperial CIL 2 3/4" 16 gauge shotgun shells. It says they were made in Canada and there is 5 rounds in the box. The shells fell like they are made out of cardboard with a plastic coating on top. Another thing I noticed as well, is that they are not exactly 2 3/4", they are about a centimetre longer. The box is in very good condition and so are the shells. Is there anyone here that knows anything about older shotgun shells and there values? Thanks.

Not worth much. If slugs you may get someone to pay $7-10 for the box others $3.00-5.00 maybe
Not really something that collectable even though they are older
There are still boxes and boxes of paper 16ga in the stash of many but mainly 25 rounds I would say
Sorry

Oddly enough, the two smells I remember most about hunting with my Dad were him lighting up a cigarette as soon as we started our grouse hunt in the crisp cold air, and the second was that smell of his paper Imperial 16 ga. shotshell breaking the silence on that first ruffed. The third not so pleasant smell were the steaming guts being ripped out of the bird. That still smells the same. Brings back memories though.

Yup,the bush here in Manitoba is looking more " birdie" by the day and Deer Muzzle Season opens tomorrow...Buck only this year.
