Found three boxes of this stuff at a gun show. Had to have them. The code on the flap is : DBP 24P16 B

I have some 3" 20ga Gevelot paper shells only a couple were duds but talk about huge copper primers?

They are in some shape. Not even any green showing on the brass . Someone sure stored them well

I remember those shells kicked like a mule. 5s were always my favourite for ducks.

Yes! Yes we were. I have a couple of old Polish paper 12 gauge shells from my Dad, some of which he use to shoot squirrels in the backyard with his Mossberg 195KA (which I have now and cherish) Those shells gotta be 50ish years old now. FYI the neighbours never said a word when the 12 gauge went off in our yard, all it meant was we were eating squirrel that nite! LOL

I have a couple boxes of 16 ga 2 3/4 #4&5. I'd have to look but I think the shells are purple or dark blue..

i found the paper with the way to determine shot size very interesting . the rule of seventeen. this i will remember because it is used in stair building as well.thanks for the pictures . always interesting to read and hear about old shells .

That is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw those old paper CIL shotshells...the smell. Nothing like it, ever!!

We definitely were. Those were laid back, casual times that were good to experience. I feel sorry for today's youth, who have missed out

Doesn't matter I could by more with my low wages then compared to today.
Now my truck is double what my house cost and my pension sure isn't double what I was making buying my house
So I lot my job a few times due to closures in the end it just made me stronger
They were good times compared to today IMO
