Old winchester full choke to modified...whats it cost?

Hello,

I have an old Winchester Model 12 with a full choke barrell. I still want to use this with steel and so I was wondering what it will cost me to get this barrel changed to a modified choke, or am I better off looking for a new barrel and keeping this one for small game? Also, any good gunsmiths you could recommend, preferablly in the Waterloo Ontario area?

Have it opened up slightly more than modified, it will pattern better with steel.

If you have the forcing cone altered too, which is a good thing to do, I think you will find prices from $75 on up.

Just a choke alteration from $40 and up.... I think....
 
About $40 sounds right for a Choke modification (if you have enough metal to work with)

For about $100-$150 you can get screw in chokes intalled.
I know Blue Mountain Sports in NB do it
