So... my question is, on the 12ga Browning A5 (early 80’s vintage):
- light target loads, you remove 3 of the rings (friction/brass/friction) leaving one brass and one friction ring at the top BUT do you then store the spare rings at the bottom against the receiver? Or remove entirely and set aside? I have tried both ways and it seems to function, so maybe it doesn’t matter, but having them at the bottom would seem to me to compress the spring or limit the travel.
I’ve read the manuals and it doesn’t seem clear, so just curious what others do.
