I have two of these. A W. Parkhurst side by side Damascus of Belgian make could have been made 1902-1940. And a Suhl and Son imported by Charles Daly about 1890ish.
It appears they both lock on three points.
Must have been a universal manufacturing process back in the day???
I wonder exactly when this fell out of favour????
Just curious.
You know I have read a little bit of WW Greenery books. He is especially harsh in regards to "cheap guns" of inferior design. Side by side shotguns in particular.
But give me one of these "cheap guns" from that era of British/European gunmaking any day!
Even cheap guns were hand made firearms under long established work processes.

My mistake friend. It was manufactured about 1890. In actual fact it's a sidelock drilling 10x10x45-70.
Sadly right now my pics are in photobucket prison.
Sorry.

It's takes time...but I spent a bit using the 'Windows Snipping Tool" and reclaimed a bunch of pics that were important to me.
That would have been lost forever if I didn't.
Quality isn't there...but at least I have something.
Thought I'd share.
