Hello guys. I just bought an old Smith & Wesson M&P pistol in .38 S&W cal.
The serial number is 834### and has a "P" next to it. It is in blue finish, smooth wood grips and marked "D broad arrow D" (dept of defence (Australia)).
The ownership calls it a M & P 1905 4th change but it seems more like a Victory pistol.
Can someone look up the date of manufacture of this old gun? (I understand there is a S & W book but no web site).
Would this be police, army or what?
