older tikka's...

The M55/M65 is my favourite Tikka, all metal and very slick actions.

About 18 months ago, an Ontario dealer had three M65 Deluxes in 25-06, 30-06, and 7x64 Brenneke. All three came with Tikka quick-release mounts for the receiver dovetails.

I picked up the 30-06, but sure wish I'd had the foresight and $$$ to get the 25-06 and 7x64 at the same time. They're very nicely built rifles with beefy one piece bolts. I find the 22" barrel on the 30-06, along with the irons sights, to be a nice combination.

i own 3 tikkas.
One 595 in 22-250 and two 695 in 300 Win mag. All of them shoot within 1/4" at 200 yards.
The checkpiece is so confortable, you can fall asleep on them ! lol
The quality of the wood is also better than the new one.

The fairy tales never end.

I still regret selling my 695 here on the EE when I first joined. That's one of the few guns I really regret getting rid of.

I have a M65 (marked LSA65) in 6.5x55..shoots very well and has a great trigger. A hunter partner has a Deluxe 65 in 300WM which has the nicer Stock.

Its one of my "Keeper" rifles.
