Oldest rifle/cartridge and youngest rifle/ cartridge

Great idea for a topic.

Oldest Ammo: 45-70
Oldest Firearm: 1951 SKS

Newest Ammo: .308
Newest Firearm Model: WS-MCR.

Hoping to add some older milsurp rifles to the collection.

M1898 Springfield Krag dated 1903, 30-40 Krag is probably my oldest. And is unfired.

As for actual rifle ages other than original releases rem pumps in 300sav and 308 all of my rifles are fairly new as in younger than me. My last pair were 783 rifles

Oldest rimfire could be my 9mm flobert or my Husqvarna 20 single shot 22 or my early win9422. Not sure of actual dates.

My shotgun collection is much more detailed

I have a Winchester 94 made in 1896 or so in 38-55… that has to be the oldest lol!
As for newest, hmmm 9.3x62 that I believe is newer than 30-06 and 7x57… it is a Ruger no1 S that isn’t that old!

It’s close for my ‘oldest’. Winchester 1894 3o-3o Trapper, followed closely by Winchester 1895 3o-o6. Close in rifle models I guess, not age of cartridges.

Newest, probably a Tikka in 6.5 Creedmoor.

Had to look at the age of the cartridge, 300 Rook, which is about 1874 according to Wikipedia, gun is an 1887 built H&H.
Newest is a 6.5CM
Next newest is a 30R Blaser, released in 1991.

Oldest rifle and cartridge would be a P-14 in 303 Brit, Newest rifle is a custom built on LH Zastava M70 action chambered for 280 Remington. Could have chambered it for 280AI but I hand load and have always felt like the 280 loaded to 270 Win pressure doesn't leave much on the table compared with the AI version.
