Last night I went to my local range for the second time, I picked up a box of the local reloads (Arena) and a rental Glock 17.
The first pistol I tried on my first trip was a H&K USP 9mm. I have to admit, I really prefered the 3 dot Glock 17 sights vs the usp metal plate with a notch (is that what we call an iron sight? sry for beeing a noob).
I could reach the controls almost confortably (maybe with more training and getting used to it), on the USP, I didnt really like the mag release, and I could definatly not reach it.
So I put the target @ 7 yards and started to shoot. Here are the last 20 rounds:
I was quite impressed, my result with the USP were bad compared to this, the sights were screwed on it (the instructor tried it). I prefered the trigger pull on the glock too. I was somehow smoother than the USP's and consistent (altough I only shot the USP in SA).
All in all, a great experience
Total lifetime round count: 100
