On a hunt for a Marlin SBL and info

If you are going to shoot 45-70, you probably want to start reloading (factory rounds aren't cheap). The nice thing is that you can load it right down for fun at the range (constant full house loads aren't for the faint of heart) or right up for polar bear. After I bumped the crossbolt safety on for the second time (it just seems to be in the wrong place) I removed it and put in a saddle ring (just because I like the look)

Yep reloading is definitely the way to go. You can shoot for fun at 1300-1500 fps, or you can load up some 400gr solids at about 2200 ish which dislocate your shoulder beautifully.

Went to Canadian tire, they showed me their cost from importer $1299 looks like price is going up and anyone under that is on old stock.

I contacted almost every site sponsor and recieved ZERO responses of if a discount or sale is possible or upcoming. North pro sports also did not get back to me, they are at 1285+ship and tax.

Irun was actually 1250$ to my door(I'm a currency broker though). But not till mid June if ordered now. I would be forfeiting bear season lol that's not going to happen. I'm checking out a could 375H&H on the weekend but if I'm not blown away I'll just order the damn SBL and stop the madness lol.
