you better get a good compass and learn how to use it, declination means nothing if you are not using a map. but it will get you back to where you started, fairly close, just pay attention to it while you are traveling. it helps to write down if you change direction radicaly. but for straight in and out it is straight forward. it will get you back. and no batteries. just remember , to believe your compass!!!
