ON IPSC Provincials Dates and possible venue???

Does anyone have any info who would potentially host the ON IPSC Provincials for 2008? Will it be the same date as 2007 (weekend after July long weekend)?

Quigley is right for several years Ontario Provincials were held on the July long weekend..last year I decided to give guys time with there families on a long weekend and that is why it was the weekend following.
 
On that note...we're not married to the July long week-end date (or any long week-end for that matter)

It worked out very well last year...and we all had a rare long week-end in July to ourselves.

The dates are proposed by the clubs that are putting forth a bid...and we go from there...

We'd be interested in hearing from the members about their thoughts on the "not long week-end" option...(liked/didn't like/didn't care)

How about the August Long Weekend :p

I don't think theres anything important going on......:evil:
 
July 1 holiday happen to be Tuesday this year, which sucks. No "long weekend" for July. So, either it's held before or after the Tuesday, July 1 holiday everyone can still enjoy the holiday this year on July 1. :)
 
might as well make it a poll.

in past few years (excluding 07) i managed to work around or with the long weekend situation to enjoy both match and holiday.......but may not work out that way everytime....so, I vote for the week after long weekend.
True. some take advantage of that, in order to get away for the match.....but i'm sure most prefer to enjoy weekend with family and/or friends.

last year, i just took the friday off to shoot the match and still had weekend off to enjoy.....;)

That has some merit.....but I think that it is up to the host club.

Oh wait............I spent the weekend working the match with my kids..;)

hey let's have it December and have it in Jamaica.... or better yet Mesa Arizona ..... Who says it has to be actually held in Ontario

...and ended up on the Toronto Grand Prix weekend...where I was kinda busy..

All thousand didn't vote for the board, so why would they vote on a match date.
I'd vote for what ever day the club who is willing to host the match wants to hold it on.
