ON IPSC Provincials Dates and possible venue???

If by naive...you mean that we take people on their word...well I guess we're guilty as charged. A shame most people won't get the irony (or the hypocrisy)

In any event...it certainly sounds like an opinion.

Although my first hand knowledge is limited, I have been told by people, who have no reason to lie, that the CFO has closed most of the outdoor ranges, that could be construed as suitable for the Provincials, until such time as the recommended improvements have been completed.

As for the animosity, there are a number of reason, some valid some not. If you are interested enough to PM me with your phone number, I will try to explain the causes of this aberration. I am a slow typer and there is not enough time or space here.

By naive I mean naive and you can take my word on that.

If by hypocrisy you mean insincere, let me assure you I am very sincere. It is not so much an opinion as a hint of an aura.

Off topic, but have to say you sound like, a person would-or should,..if they were employed in a position, of sitting at a desk, writing for Hallmark.:slap:
 
Well.. I'll be the first person to stick my hand in that air, and offer to help out what ever club is going to host it (since my club can't)..

I'll RO, all the days I'm not shooting, and help with the setup and tear down. I'll design some stages if there is the need.. anything I can do to help.
 
Regarding the Ontraio Provincials

It will definatly not be on the July long week-end.

For a variety of reasons...it has not been easy this year. The match date will be later than has been typicall...in fact it will be sometime after the Nationals.

We have one proposal in, and hopefully one on the way. These need to go in front of the board before we can make a final decision...and that would be early next week.

I wish I had better news...but we're doing everything we possably can.

I know you and the board are doing the best you can do.
I also know that alot of the bigger clubs are burnt out.
Just trying to plan my match schedule for this year.

It worked out very well last year...and we all had a rare long week-end in July to ourselves.

The dates are proposed by the clubs that are putting forth a bid...and we go from there...

We'd be interested in hearing from the members about their thoughts on the "not long week-end" option...(liked/didn't like/didn't care)
