ON IPSC Provincials Dates and possible venue???

Just remember you posted this.

Well.. I'll be the first person to stick my hand in that air, and offer to help out what ever club is going to host it (since my club can't)..

I'll RO, all the days I'm not shooting, and help with the setup and tear down. I'll design some stages if there is the need.. anything I can do to help.

Way to go Storm!

On behalf on your Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the details for this years Provincial Championships.

This year has certainly been a challenge...but the results have been worth the wait.

The East Elgin Sportsman's Association http://www.eesa.ca/ will be this years hosts.

The match will be held later in the year than has been typical...so we won't be melting in the July heat. The match date has been set for September 11th - 14th. Match Director Stormbringer is meeting with his club executive at the end of this month to finalize the exact date...but it will be at EESA...and it will be in September (almost certainly the Sept 11-14th week-end)

This match will coincide with EESA's very popular "Drama Daze" match...and as such there will be representatives from the local High School drama club (the Drama Teacher and several students) on hand Saturday & Sunday to help with patching and re-setting steel. This fund raising match has been very well attended in past years...and it gets coverage in the local paper. From a public relations stand point...we couldn't ask for much more.

As always...many hands make lite work...so please lend a hand.

We will send a follow-up email in the next week or so with additional details for those who wish to attend the match as a competitor and / or a helper.

EESA has really set a standard for the continued promotion of recreational and competitive shooting in Ontario. IPSC Ontario is both fortunate and honoured to be a part of that continued initiative.

Thanks to John and crew and we hope to see you all there.

Regards

Quigley
President, IPSC Ontario

Not to rain on anyone's parade but you have chosen the same dates as the US Nationals so many of the better shooters will not be able to attend.

I would seriously consider changing the dates. Did no one know to check for conflicting major matches dates?

I am trying to see if we can shift to the weekend of the 20th.

There's no match in Canada that will make me miss a back to back USPSA Nationals at USSA.

Thanks for stepping up Storm, I hope its a smooth ride for you and your crew

Congratulations on scoring the Provincials Storm! You guys have earned it... now if we could all just start pitching a few bucks into a hat to pay off the rain Gods... lol

Isn't this the Time to crack Storm in the head with bottle of Champaign and give him a new name? I don't care about the name, I just want to get to swing the bottle. Sunny day bringer or Rainbow head works for me.

The weekend of the 20th would be just fine, I don't need to be home from the US Nats for more than a couple of days before I wear out my welcome.
