on-line matches update

hello folks,

as some of you may already know, all scores are now kept in "scorekeeper" file in yahoo groups. Check on-line matches rules, there must be a link leading to that file.

I also took a liberty and modified 20 yard 3-position target so it can fit the front aperture of most club rifles. It is basically the same target, rings are of the same sizes anyway. Looks a bit rough tho. Idea was not mine, some fellow CGN'er did the same modification months ago but never distribued the copy.

Well crap. I screwed up today. I printed off the targets for the 20 yard 3p match. Didnt feel like getting on the ground today so used same targets and shot it freehand thinking we used the same targets. Went to add up my score and also found out that I was getting 11 rounds into my mag not 10. So wrong target and they each have 11 rounds in them. Ah well need more practice anyways. Only got 207 out of a possible 330. Still fun to do.

Wild1 - I had my share of 9-hole targets along with 11-hole ones. Keep your ammo in original box if it is 50-round boxes with plastic insert in them. Before shooting string of 10, slide cover only so as to uncover exactly two rows of bullets (10 rounds). Shake them out and keep separately for the whole 10-shot string until you run out of them. Do not rely on mag capacity because some rifles take 8-9 rounds while they are advertised as 10-rounders.

Well next time I head out I will pay attention to the amount of rounds. I was hoping no one would shoot my targets while waiting for a target change too. Busy day out there today.
