did you just friction that front handguard on over top? seems unnecessary but definitely look cool. does it have any play, like could you easily pull it off?It's amazing. it's a tight slide-on and required some tapping. I put a cross bolt into the mounting holes at the front of the handguard (where the Mp5 would normally have a pushpin) to secure it. It adds mlok slots that you can actually use, as the stock handguard inner diameter places the mlok nuts too close to clear the inner barrel without shaving the nuts down (and using short screws). The stock handguard OD is also very narrow, this adds to the grip diameter and is much more comfortable. Unnecessary - possibly. Subjectively, it's much better.
