Hey guys, as you know, I'm new to this forum and was curious as to where I could acquire a reasonably priced 6" Blued Colt Python. I will be getting my rpal soon and really want this gun. Thank you!

I hope you are ready for sticker shock. A nice blued 6" Python will be easily over $2000.
They pop up on the Equipment Exchange. See above on the blue liner.
Apply for permission to join the EE. When you get in, you'll find some snakes for sale.
Enjoy!

There are no reasonably priced Pythons.

Auggie D.

This. I've got a half dozen, and I'd part with a blue one but it sure won't be 'reasonable'. I'm content to sit on them for 10 or 20 years, I've got one shooter and the rest I take out and polish and gaze at. I'm weird that way. I sure won't lose money on them.

You might want to expand your search to the entire snake-line of Colts.

I was at a store a few weeks back and they had a used Colt Diamondback .38 Special Blued. Very Very Very good shape. Looked like this gun was a safe queen all it's life. No nicks, rust, or range-rash anywhere on this piece. Just a really clean piece. The shop was selling it on consignment. Consigner wanted $1800 Canadian for it.

I have to say, if I was in the market for a revolver, this Diamondback would have suited me perfect. A solid gun. Shop owner told me these things go for $2500 US in the States.

there are no reasonable priced Pythons , unless you find one via estate sale, etc,
last one I found was last years for 900.oo on this site it would have been 2000.oo

2000 bucks would be a great deal, IMO. A new S&W 629 Hunter(just a for instance) would cost more, and with the latest QC issues at S&W, I'd very much prefer a Python.

While I agree with you, it's not the best comparison. The 629 Hunter is comparable to the Anaconda, and though the Anaconda is pricier I would still buy the Anaconda all day long over the new Hunter. On the other hand, you would never get me to trade or part with my old 629-3 hunter with an unfluted barrel and silhouette front sight, it's just the best .44 I've shot.

Unless we go all UK up in here over the next few years with the Libs in majority...
I'm sure persons who owned FN's and type 56's before 1992 thought the same thing.
