Just got back from checking the few snares left out. Really need more snow out. There is more snow at the farm in comparison to the Brandon area. The tracks are unreal and to many trails being used. I need to get more bait and concentrate on the heavier travelled trails.
Anyways I lost 1 entire snare. Spring and all. Not sure what took it. Maybe I forgot to attach the carabiner around the tree???? Not sure but I did a lot of searching. Regardless should not last to long.
I also had another great catch.......... a martin.
Yes caught a pine martin at the remainder of the fox taht was used for bait. I forgot to take my camera with me today. First one I ever caught. I caught weasel and mink as a kid but this is the closest to smelling like a skunk. From what I hear they are also worth more than a yote and way less work.
Well until next weekend.

awsome keep it coming very interested in this thread. we don't have martin where i am to far south. lot's of fisher and mink though.
