I have a Belgian revolver in .44 Webley with a pre 1893 proof mark on it. It got it in Canada, and the backstrap is stamped (rather crudely, ONA with the number 32 following. I believe this would have been owned by a business and they would have had at least 32 revolvers in their stable. Short barrelled, heavy calibre, it was a pistol meant to do damage but at relatively modest range. I have seen CNR marked pistols, and I have another revolver that has the initials of a bank stamped on it. This would seem to be that type of thing.
Does any one know what company could have owned this gun? I would appreciate any insights.
