Ok.
So I am pumped to finally getting into the action sports.
Long term goal is to do some QCB and 3 gun.

I have NEVER run a holster. I have always been keen a a thigh rig.

I would love for some people to direct me what set up would work for me. Or at least give me there input.

I am bigger guy so I have some side cushion. - Maybe thats why I do not run a belt holster.
Ideally I would like to run a gun (1911) that sits out and down from the belt. Certainly with two mags also on belt.

Looking at holsters like Balde-Tech and others there is alot to consider.
Classic OWB looks like a nice start. Ghost ultimate looks to robo-cop.

Just to clarify.....
I am just a bigger guy. Not one of those never-run-a-mile kind of bigger guys.

Have some extra cushion around the edges but do not need to lift anything to get at a holster.....

Blade-Tech makes a dropped and offset adapter for their holsters which works fine. Lots of "big" guys just run straight blade-Techs. Try using what you have at the next match and talk to the guys there and take a look at what they are running.

I agree with tomo333. A "dropped and offset" adapter will give you more distance between yourself and the holster. Also, I've noticed any adapter for connecting/disconnecting multiple holsters to the same rig end up doing the same.

I'm a big guy and I run a straight drop offset holster and that's all you need

I'm bigger than Slavex, and I run a Bladetech DOH, Double Alpha Racemaster, CR Speed WSM II, and Lhs (different divisions) without a problem.

Agreed, thigh holsters are for posers. They don't work, unless your just standing around, or sitting in a suburban all day ;). Any type of DOH is better. I used to run Safariland products, but now I use a Bladetech DOH, which works for most people. It drops the pistol a couple inches and cants the grip out slightly from your body.

I just grabbed a CR Speed hi torque belt - Blade tech DOH - Blade tech mag pouches.

I havent used them yet but im a bigger guy too and everything feels really comfy.. Even when loaded up
