I must be going completely mad. I should really have my head examined as I'm usually not the type to do real crazy stuff like trading away my favorite guns, but I did. I traded away my super accurate, reliable and ###y marlin model 60ss. Something tells me I am going to kick myself later for doing so.

I couldn't help it... I have been bitten by the Lee enfield bug. I wanted one of these things bad and when I was presented with the offer to trade for this bad mamajama I had to go for it.

At least I still have my papoose and my mark II... Though I might have to put a synthetic 60 with tech sites in the mix in the future to replace the one I traded off... Oh well, they are modern production rifles. Ol' Smellie is getting harder to come by these days.

Don't feel too bad mikey, that sure is a nice rifle. Some more pics of it would be nice.

Haha, I don't really feel bad. Infact I'm pretty stoked about it. It's just funny because for years I've told my wife, and myself, "no way am I ever selling this marlin... It's just too darn accurate and fun and blah blah blah".

The reality is like super7 said it's really not special at all and can be replaced easily, although it was ridiculously accurate even compared to other marlins I have had... The papoose being the most accurate. A No4 mkII (f) that looks nearly new and probably still smells like cosmoline is not super easy to find. Not impossible either, but it's not like I can go online an order one from wholesale like I can the 60ss.

This pic is the one sent to me by the fellow I'm trading with, I should have it by Friday or Monday and I'll post a couple more pics then.

I guess this is more of a milsurp thread hey? Oh well, it was meant to be more about letting go of ol' faithful.
