I have a Colt New Service made in 1917. The pistol has been modified with a S&W adjustable rear sight and a large ramped front site. It has been converted from 455 to 45 Colt. It appears to have been reblued and someone also carved a decent set of walnut grips for it. Its a real nice old gun. After doing some research I think it may have been modified at Holman & Hickey in Ont. Does anyone have any info on H & H? Any pix of their work? Any info at all would be appreciated.

I used to frequent Holman & Hickey back in the '70s and '80s.

I bought my first deer rifle and scope from them. I still have it! LOL

They were located on Dawes Rd in East York.

The rear sight appears to be a S&W part. I pulled the grips and there are no markings whatsoever. They look like they were made at home. Rough carving on the back side and the outer appears to be stippled not checkered.
