PS I "needed" this as my father "Borrowed" my West German Diatal 4x36 for his little Browning SA-22...

(That's my self enabling rationale and I'm sticking to it)

Those Parker Hale rings are likely fairly unusual to find, anymore - they appear to be windage adjustable - so if the rings were for 26 mm scope tube, the name stamped on the ring will end in "4", or possibly "5". I can not tell from picture if they are Low, Normal or High height, nor if they are "A" series width or "B" series width - will all be identified in the name code stamped on the ring. I think those windage adjustable ones started with letter "A" in that code. I have a set here that is stamped "ARBS5". That I know of, they will about only fit to Parker Hale bases of the correct width series. One or both of them will have a round recoil stud protruding down, where they sit on the Parker Hale base. On this set, a previous owner chose to grind off one of the recoil studs, rather than to remove it. If you need PH bases for a particular rifle, PM to me and let me know - is many dozens of different numbers here - I do not have all of them that were made, though.

I also have a Hensoldt Diatal scope here - 26 mm scope tube, and only has an elevation turret - so windage adjustable mount pretty much needed for that one to be installed and then sighted in for windage, unless one is UBER fussy with shims and filing to get centre line of rings perfectly lined up with centreline of bullet path, and then hope the reticle is perfectly centre for windage with the scope body.

Thanks Potashminer.

I will probably end up using another set of rings for mounting to an 11mm dovetail (we can still get new 26mm rings here just about) or 30mm to 26mm Delrin ring inserts which for the .22lr I'm thinking off will be grand.
