I use these deer partridge and turkey hunting. Can do everything except feed shells in a Model 94 they get caught in the door. If you are moving a little they keep you warm down to -15 or so as well. This price is nuts. I get them at a local store for $25. Been using the same two pair for five years.

You need to hang around the local farm supply store until a right arm amputee comes looking for just a left hand glove...split the cost of a pair and your both happy....

Alex has the best solution, leather wrap the bottom of the lever and its always there and no glove fingers to interfere with the loading gate. Properly done and I can guarantee you that you can work that lever as fast and hard as you want without hurting your hand.

Best gloves by far that I have ever owned were made out of elk skin from a Hutterite colony in Alberta.

I recently picked up a pair of bee keeper gloves at Princess auto of all places...cut off the mesh sleeves and away you go...soft and very well made...

Golf or football gloves, sold as singles. Football come with some tack grip.both great for dexterity/reloading. Winter time I use thin deer skin/nylon construction gloves.

I'm not a fan of them either. They can look good, but it seems like a great way to retain moisture and cause rust
